Scheduled to open in August 2025, Cultural Resonance: New Works is a solo exhibition that goes beyond traditional art forms to deeply explore the intersections of heritage, memory, and the contemporary Black experience. This exhibition showcases a collection of new works that serve as a profound commentary on the role that history, culture, and identity play in shaping who we are today. The pieces in this series reflect both personal stories and collective memories, and through each painting, the artist aims to connect past struggles, triumphs, and cultural narratives with the realities of the present. With a focus on the resilience, strength, and beauty of Black culture, the exhibition provides an exploration of themes like legacy, the impact of historical events on modern-day life, and the evolving conversation surrounding race and identity in today’s world. By examining how our heritage influences our understanding of ourselves and others, Cultural Resonance invites viewers to reflect on their own experiences and connect with the broader story of Black history and culture. Each work speaks to the ongoing journey of self-discovery, while also providing a space for dialogue about the importance of remembering and honoring our shared histories. The exhibition is more than just an artistic display—it is an invitation to think critically about cultural identity and the ways in which art can bridge the gap between past and present.
